About this course

Overview

Why choose Huddersfield for this course?

  • Our Distance Learning courses are taught online so you have the flexibility to choose when and how you study.
  • Develop your knowledge of history taking & diagnostic reasoning, self-care strategies, case management and therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop the expertise required to manage people with a long term condition.

This course, which is delivered 100% online, is designed for health and social care professionals who are working within a role supporting people living with long-term conditions. You’ll build skills in history taking, diagnostic reasoning, self-care strategies, case management and therapeutic interventions.

Throughout your studies, you’ll develop the expertise needed to deliver effective, person-centred care. You’ll explore the realities faced by patients and carers as they navigate life with a long-term condition — from living well to managing complex, changing needs.

Your learning is enriched through opportunities to meet service users on campus, offering valuable insight into the day-to-day impact of long-term conditions. You’ll also investigate research that aligns with your professional ambitions, applying it directly to your area of practice.

This interprofessional course brings together students from a range of health backgrounds, creating a collaborative environment that reflects real-world practice and broadens your perspective.
