Health promotion plays a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and wider populations. It brings together social and environmental approaches to protect health and enhance quality of life. Our course is designed for health and social care professionals who want to build confidence and capability in delivering effective health promotion within their everyday practice.

You’ll explore the key theories, models and approaches that shape modern health promotion, developing a critical understanding of leadership and management in the wider public health landscape. Whilst focussing on the efficacy of health promotion practice, you’ll be encouraged to critique contemporary health promotion interventions.

You’ll learn alongside a diverse mix of students from the UK and overseas with clinical and non-clinical backgrounds, creating a rich environment for shared insight and discussion.
