This course offers a strong foundation in public health research methods for anyone looking to learn about the different types of research used in public health. You’ll explore a range of research methods used in public health, building the skills to analyse and evaluate both quantitative and qualitative studies with confidence.

Throughout the course, you’ll develop practical competencies in data collection, analysis and interpretation, helping you apply research skills directly to your own practice area. You’ll learn how to systematically retrieve empirical or theoretical literature, and critically review the data within your specialist subject area.

Entry Requirements

An honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent in a subject relevant to public health, such as health professional qualifications, social science subjects, applied sciences, business, leadership, management or administration.

£772 per 15 credit module

This is the tuition fee for 2026/27 entry. Tuition fees for 2027/28 will be published once the information becomes available.
